Ovarian stimulation refers to the initiation of the fertility medications. Ovaries are stimulated by injection with fertility medications (FSH products), such as Follistim, Bravelle, Gonal-F and/or Repronex.

The purpose of FSH product is to “stimulate” both ovaries to develop multiple follicles containing multiple eggs, which are available at the time of egg retrieval.
